Enlarger red filter

I want to use a tiffen red 25 filter as a red filter for my focomat v35. What are the red value of an enlarger red filter ? Will the tiffen filter do the job ?

I've never used a red filter while printing...

Virtually any red should work. Why not try it, with half the paper shielded, and the other half not? Costs you half a sheet of paper, and a damn' sight more reliable than internet opinions.
