I own and use a Canon EOS 1n, which I like very much when I'm in the mood for auto-everything in an SLR. Would there be any real advantage to my buying an EOS 1V to replace/supplement the 1n? I already have glass for it.

Thank you to all who reply.

With best regards,

The 1v pioneered the use of magnesium alloy shell in the EOS line. It cries "full metal" and is bomb proof, but its rubberized coating is prone to scratches and was later replaced by the crinkle finish seen on the pro EOS bodies today.

It also accepts accessories made for the 1D cameras, like the E-ttl flashes (won't work on the 1n) and Ec-C IV screen made for the 1ds MkII.

Speed wise it's a demon with more than enough focus points.
