I posted some first impressions of the EP-2 here the other day. Over the next day or so, I will upload some samples from my flickr page. If anyone wants to go directly to the flickr page, the images are here:

To start: here's a good test of the IS feature. It is an ISO 1600 image at about 1/3 of a second with the IS on at night. Lens is a 21 Biogon stopped down a couple of stops to get the proper streaking from the car tail lights. Hand held. Look at the fixed point light sources and the scaffolding in the background. It is reasonably sharp for a 1/3 sec exposure hand held.

Here's one with the 50 Sonnar-S and an Amadeo adapter. The lens is wide open.

And finally: here's a 28 G-Biogon converted to Leica M mount:

Ben - how are you finding focusing with these manual lenses? I'm getting one of those Metabones adapters, but I'm a bit concerned about trying to focus with screwmount and M lenses on the E-P2. Do you have a preferred method?

I am using the auxiliary EVF and focusing just like I would an SLR. I don't even really use the focus magnification feature, except with some of the wide-angles. The beauty of the system is that I can use all this great glass, but can dispense with any concern about focus shift. So far I have used a 50mm Summitar, a 50 Summilux Asph, a converted 40mm G-Planar, the converted 28 G-Biogon above, a 28/2 Ultron, a 12mm Heliar, the 15mm Heliar, 75 Cron, 90 Tele-Elmarit, and the others noted here on RFF -- boy, it's been playtime at my place. Yesterday adapters for Pentax thread-mount lenses and R-mount lenses arrived. This may be the most versatile platform I own. I could even imagine a Pentax 67-to-Nikon-to-m4/3 adapter. Wotta ravoltin' development.

[Edit. I have been focusing at the taking aperture. The EVF compensates for the loss of light, up to a point. If it is really a problem, I focus wide open and then stop down while keeping my eye on the point of focus.]
