This message is especially for Portland, OR and surrounding members, but potentially a number of other USA members.
Compusa is closing 126 stores nationwide, and there's some big price cuts. Went into the 82nd street Compusa tonight, and they still had at least a couple r2400's as well as the big HP available. The Epson was something like $640.
If you're not in the Portland area, I'd call your local Compusa and see what's up. All Seattle area stores, most Southern California stores and almost all Texas stores are closing, apparently. Jantzen Beach and Tigard are not closing in Oregon, and Spokane is staying open.
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if you could make an offer lower than their prices. Only catch is that all sales are final. Also a lot of deals on ink and paper, as well as 10% off computers.

p.s. any Portland people that head over to 82nd save me a couple cartridges for the 2400, I didn't have a chance to pick them up tonight.
p.p.s. Incidentally there are a few tv's and the like left at my local store. Nothing 1080p left, but some nice prices otherwise. Also if you need some shelves for your garage, they are literally selling the shelves.
