Epson is offering a 50$ rebate on this scanner and it seems that there are a few of you on these forums using those scanners.

I plan to pick one up to go with my fuji gws690 that is arriving soon. I will purchase from staples, price match(110% price match) to newegg and use a 50$ off 200$ coupon(these can be purchased on ebay) as well which should bring the price to about 117$

This is a common trick from fatwallet forums that I thought I would point out.

That's a neat trick. I bought from NewEgg in the spring and got mine for about $160 after the rebate (which I did receive in a (relatively) timely manner), and I'm very happy with the scanner, for b&w negs at least.

If I start doing medium format more I may have to look into selling my Dimage Scan Dual III and getting a flatbed. The Scan Dual III is a nice scanner, but I'd like to have the ability to scan half frame as well without losing part of the frame.

very tasty math!

Staples wouldnt do this price match for me for some reason, just a heads up for anyone trying, still not a bad deal but you might want to try buying a refurbished one from epson for 123$ after rebate.
