EPSON R-D1 first impressions and samples - ISO 1600 - ISO 6400

I could manage to put most of the cash from my wallet into my 35 f2 Summicron ASPH sock under the bed before we started on that weekend :p

Sure, that´s certainly a very good place to keep the money for urgent photo-toys (only if there is not already the salesman from the shoe shop  )

Take care

I am fine so far, but it looks like I will scavenge my Nikons for more rangefinder stuff in the near future. I asked already for prices for some of my DSLR gear.
If I only had known earlier :bang:

How on earth could she spy a EPSON R-D1 from a Leica M6 or black Nikon Fm3a across the room - I use regularly :bang: - this is impossible.

It must be the distinctively different shutter sound - :(

Anyway - no photographs on the weekend other than shopping malls and alike :bang:

It probably wasn't the different shutter sound. It's the grin on your face as you used your new camera!

all those posts make me to buy rd-1! I will now look at prices on ebay :)

Ssshhhh - not so loud!
Don't tell all the other people, they better buy Leicas, Nikons and Canons ;)

Yes we man go all about technical things first. That little boy smile, one has with a new toy surely must tell everything to the ladies. Last weekend after breakfast, I did a few product shots of batteries, company production parts, and for fun a few photos for my websites and loaded the SD card into Lightroom (damn, are these SD cards slow ;-( ).

When I saw a photo, I took of a Voigtländer 15mm and zoomed into 1:1 I jumped all over the place, trying to explain to the madam, how sharp this is and how much detail is recorded by this old camera, that has much less megapixel than her point and shoot.

She only made a dry face, gave no comment and went on with reading her book. I don't understand women. ;-)
