Peter i Wish you good luck and that you get this position. I'm in the same boat, i want to buy a digital camera and i'm having a hard time pulling the trigger. When i do, all of the cameras will be gone.

In fact I already owned an R-D1 throughout last year, but after selling it to finance a Canon 5D DSLR, I find that I miss the rangefinder way of taking photographs.

Which is something that I have read about many times before, yet only now that I find myself missing whatever it is that a rangefinder camera provides [and I do not find it so easy to define what that may be] do I see for myself what others have expressed in a similar vein.
