epson scan batch scan not working

i have this problem with my epson scan on epson V700, that the batch scan keep pausing after scanning every frame. it seems to happen only after i update my mac OS to High Sierra 10.13.2.

wondering if anyone encounter similar issues and has a solution for it?

I'm having the same problem with my Epson V500. It's extremely frustrating. I've reinstalled the latest Epson software but the issue persists. Any solution greatly appreciated.

I find moving the mouse gets the scan resuming. frustrating init ?

I used something which I can't remember, but it was basically a reset. It was in the software and everything was back normal.

Tried the Reset option but no change!. Still need to move the mouse between each scanned frame.

Same issue for me on a 2010 MBP, very frustrating.

i switch to using vuescan and the batch scan scans without stopping.

but still , I will like to fix it on epson scan if there is a solution.

Its a problem that is known and it affects Macs on the new OS ... Sierra in particular. I haven't looked but I read somewhere that Epson have a patch on their website somewhere that fixes it. When I first encountered it I asked Apple about it and they said not our problem! 🙄

Ultimately I think I'll just move to Vuescan when I'm ready to start using my scanner again.

Had the same issue after upgrading from Yosemite to High Sierra on a MacBook Pro + Epson V800

Installed this patch:
