Curious if anyone else has had this problem. When scanning film with the V700. After the each scan, the scanner will pause. Once you click anywhere on the progress bar window. The Scanner will resume scanning to the next image. Using version 3.9.4 of epson scan.

Thanks in advance.

Do you get the same issue when running the Silverfast SE that also came with the scanner? If you don't have the issue with that software, then it sounds like an issue isolated to the EpsonScan versus the hardware or OS, so I would then start by trying to reset all of the options within EpsonScan.

I have Epson scan 3.9.2, and while scanning strips of film, at the beginning of each frame, the scan dialog shows (not responding),
but, I don't mess with it, it corrects itself in a few seconds, and scans every frame property.
Scans 24 35mm frames at 3200dpi at the rate of 1 minute or so per frame.

I have a Win 10, Gen 4 M4700 i7, with 12gig of ram, so plenty of ram and power.

I had exactly this after upgrading my Mac to the latest operating system ... El Capitan.

Try downloading and installing the latest Epson drivers for the scanner.

I was dreading having to make my first post on RFF a scanner question...Yes, my v600 does this and it drives me nuts. I need to "wake up" the scanner my clicking the mouse, or moving the mouse and it resumes, only to make it through one more frame before I have to do it again. I believe I have the latest drivers, and I do seem to think it started occurring after an OS update...

In windows 8/10 the system updates its drivers automatically. Open the device manager, uninstall the drivers for the scanner and re-install them from the distribution discs that came with the scanner.
Unfortunately Windows 10 will do that again and I am not sure how to permanently disable self updating its drivers.

Just downloaded the El Capitan patch and will try it later.

Thanks for this. :)
