I have just discovered Erik’s photo portfolio on Flickr. I had previously only seen Erik’s other Flickr account which shows mainly interesting collectible rangefinder cameras, so I’m not sure whether this account showcasing his photographic work is new.
If you haven’t already seen it you absolutely must take a look. It is a great pleasure to see the photographs that we see posted separately here collected together.
What a wonderful eye, what skill, what talent!

Agreed across the board. I've noted my great appreciation for Erik's photography as posted here on RFF many times in the past (along with my genuine appreciation for the photography of helenhill and rhl-oregon). Looking at Erik's images combined together in a flick'r gallery makes for a very impactful experience.

He is indeed a genius. His pictures are Mozartian in their seeming effortlessness and uncluttered brilliance. HCB would have appreciated his eye and sense of geometry as it coincides with meaningful human moments. If I even made one van Straten picture in my lifetime I would be restful about my pursuit of the craft.

I agree and like the term Mozartian as LC Smith invoked here, effortless and uncluttered! Very nice body of work Erik, and one that keeps coming....

Erik's work is - and has consistently been - brilliant. People can also have a look on the thread here on RFF "Shots from your Nikkormat."

As would I. Earlier this year I purchased a new release from the German publisher Steidl. While it wasn't the worst purchase I've made this year, for the money spent I would much rather own a book featuring Erik's work. There are numerous images that Erik has shared here on this forum that I've found myself going back to view over and over again. I have absolutely zero doubt that I would very much enjoy a book featuring a selection of his photographs.

I don’t just look at Erik’s photos, I study them. They are not subject oriented but rather masterly framed and all the pieces fit together. What an eye to be able to see and via a tiny Barnack finder no less.
