Well here is the lens bought on Friday for $35. What are the odds that someone can post a pic of this lens mounted on a camera? That will give me a better idea of what people are using this lens on. Wouldn't mind seeing it mounted on an M. Now that I have this lens, I may as well begin to think about mating it with the proper camera.....hopefully a Leica. Thanks.

Whoops... forgot the pertinent stuff. It's a 2.8/35 Summaron. I still am unsure if the M mount is an adapter. On my 1st post regarding this len, it was stated that if a set screw is present on the adapter then the lens is LTM and M mount. There is a set screw on the adapter, but I have not been able to find other info on the lens. Here's the pic....

The screw mount makes it quite valuable. Even M mount ones are 5/7 hundred dollars.

I don`t follow collector pricing, but from what I remember, the converted screw to M from the factory are somewhat rare.

The coatings are soft so don`t scratch it up with improper cleaning.

I did also get the Luna Pro. The meter was $17.50 and is comparable in reading to my current meter. I got the meter at the same sale. My father-in-law will be getting the meter as a present.

The lens does have an M mount and the mount is original. What I do not know is if the mount is removable. There is a set screw in the mount that leads me to believe the lens is also LTM. I can see the end of a threading from the back of the lens.

This lens was indroduced in 1958 there are 2 versions: the 11106 SIMOO-MW for the M3 and the 11306 SIMOO-M for the M2 or M1. This lens sometimes is factory fitted with a ltm to M adapter held by a small screw. Remove the adapter and you will have an ltm. (from James Lager volume III)
