Iceland would be a transport problem indeed. Maybe we could hire bicycles . . .![]()
And someone want some good food and beer......

Iceland does sound great but getting there and prices there are crazy.
1000E for a car, 4 passengers and a room with a window. Two day trip by ferry from Germany. Smyril line i think.
Still baltic shoreline countries from Germany to Estonia are still best options.

Martin, thank you, I received your PM, indeed, very nicely worded.
Unfortunatly, I'm unable to offer much help with a date and place, due to prior travel plans and commitments. I'm only in a position of choosing to attend when a group decision is arrived at regarding where and when, and if my planets, stars, and finances are in alignment I'll be there.

I would go for the Baltic states or Scandinavia, never having been to either. If it's somewhere a little bit off the beaten track, so much the better.

I was just joking about it all. Since I will be in Denmark briefly (and Norway), I will try to meet up with a few RFF members there. Maybe, Copenhagen or maybe Aarhus.

I tend to not like places that charge €10 for a beer...

One vote for St. Petersburg. I know the city and have many friends there with old cameras and deep glasses. This experience you will not forget

this is a bit optimistic as getting a beer in a bar in slovenia for 2 euro is part of the history i am afraid...
so when do we meet? we have plenty of time to discuss where, but for us freelancers good planing of weekends can significantly influence the income...

In my street you can have 10 for €10 at least at 3 places. And the street is not that long

Good beer in lithuania cost 1,3 - 2 euros for 0.5liter. Good lunch about 7-10 euros. Bus ticket in city - 1euro. Car rent no need in vilnius because all old town on foot you can go over per 2 hours . Here are so many photogenic places... you will be happy to shot photos here

How about Stuttgart in early June? Nice weather, and two great car museums! Plus it's a short train ride up to Solms...

I just found this thread and I'm glad to "see" the people from the Prague-meeting again
.
As last year, it will probably be a last moment's decision for me to attend or not.
