...pick up one of your old photography magazines and remember the days when film was the only medium?

I have not been into photography for too long, I started in 1996 with an autofocus body with auto exposure and all the cool stuff that was out in the mid 90's. Film was my thing, however. I still remember wanting to buy that "All new Canon EOS-1V" and seeing the ads in the magazine for the camera.

Now I pick up a photography magazine and I must say I miss those "old days" of mine.

Anyone else feel the same? Like I said, it's not so long ago, but film is all I know...

I miss all the good photo shops that were around. All with 2.hand cameras on display in the windows. All that is gone. Where there were photo shops you find cell phone dealers.

Surely film is still the only medium! :D

There are still one or two good second hand dealers in the UK although increasingly they are on-line. But on a trip to New Oxford Street in London you can drool over everything from LF to 35mm in Jacobs and then walk around the corner to Aperture in Museum Street. If you have time call into Bush & Fields Cafe in Museum Street, I can highly recommend their breakfasts.
