Every-Day-Carry RF (again)

Frankly, I don't understand why you haven't already gone out and found yourself a nice Hexar AF :). Seriously, it is one of the best low light candid cameras ever made. The 35/2 is as good or better than a 35 cron, and you have extremely accurate spot autofocus and a great meter. Did I mention that it is utterly silent? It has full manual control, AE with a fail safe programmable minimum shutter speed (so you can tell the camera to open up the aperture more if it is below 1/8th, 1/15th etc), and program mode. It is built like a tank and is very inconspicuous. ISO from 6-6400. If you need it, flash sync at all speeds and very good performance with the dinky flash it came with. A big bright parallax adjusted viewfinder. And you get all this for under 500 bucks. How can you go wrong?

Good suggestion.

I wish however that the maual controls were easier to use, and in dark situations, a backlit display would be great to have.

Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread, and I've already started thinking about it pretty seriously. I like 50mm a lot more than 35mm, but there's no reason at all not to try one out.

...but if I may commit a double heresy, is the the new ZI not a current version of the CL/CLE?
Well, maybe not quite... For those wanting a CLE -- or like me looking for a successor to the CLE -- the new Z-I is attractive. But the CLE is considerably smaller while the Z-I probably has a better viewfinder and feature set...

I work in an office located on a busy construction site. There is always alot of activety and the landscape changes almost daily. My breifcase is a camera bag and I always take my Bessa R with a full complement of lenses with me whenever I go to work.

I am going to select a series of negatives to print which document the major milestones of the project. I know the team will be rather impressed to see their progress displayed in sequence.
