This one isn’t what it seems
This shot was taken at the beginning of August, a small jetty looking out from the north coast of Corfu. It was taken about 06:00, around sunrise; the print has a soft atmospheric look, an almost dreamlike quality.
Sadly the soft middle and far distance is caused by massive unchecked fires raging just over the strait in Albania, the hills and mountains of which should be clearly visible in that shot. Before the sun came up I could see huge red glowing lines tracking the contours of the hills and when it was fully light small particles of ash raining down around me.
