Congrats ! You will find many of us feel the same way about our leicas.

As for lenses, the old ones have a lot of character, but my favorites are still the late tabbed and current summicron, I've found these two give out of this world "pop". cheers

How are you carrying yours around with you all the time?

In my camera bag. Ironically, it's a Tamrac "digital" bag. It's nice and compact, but I can fit my 90 Elmarit, any one of my 50s, my 35 CV Ultron, and any other one of my 50s mounted on the camera, and the camera sits on top; the Tamrac felt strap (this is a Tamrac ad now) is nice and thick, I put it on the top front; that way the camera doesn't get scratched. The rest of the camera is protected because it's always protected by the leather black neverready case (only the bottom half).

Not yet, I'm trying to get scannerized or something like that, I'll do some for you then.

Most people overlook the Elmar because they want the extra stop of the Summicron, but thereby they are missing one of the most distinctive lenses in the Leica lineup. The Elmar can make some photos almost seem to dance. I have the latest Summicron, but I can't resist using the Elmar most of the time.
