Thought whether to consult Google or fine people of RFF... you win!
I'd like to ask for a recommendation on a decent EXIF editor. I usually name my files with camera+film references, but having relevant EXIF info wouldn't hurt (I'm asking for scanned photos, naturally; digital takes care of itself). That would help especially for upload (Flickr) to save time tagging and noting for my own and sometimes others' reference.
I work on Mac. I scan on Canoscan 8800 through native software (so I can work in Photoshop on other stuff in parallel). The only other software images go through after are Adobe bridge and Photoshop CS. Thus the only reference in EXIF (besides dates and sizes etc) is either "CanosCan 8800" or "MP Navigator EX" (scanner launcher reference, annoying).
I'd like to know what's the good EXIF editing software or a plug-in out there. I would like to primarily add Camera, Lens and Film type (if possible) info. Exposure values can rarely be remembered precisely, but nice to have anyway. Preferences:
- Mac
- Rather standalone than a plug-in (if later means dragging all images through Photoshop)
- Batch editing capability
- FREE!
(alright, I'll pay a couple of $ if they got children to feed)
If you use something like that, what do you use? Thanks all y'all!

Well, I have little need for this ability, but "Reveal", a freeware program, looks pretty decent. It can edit some EXIF data from jpeg files, but only view (not edit) this info in Pentax raw PEF files, for instance. You can find it for download at versiontracker.com, a great place to find all kinds of useful stuff.
There's also the free PhotoInfo, but I've been unsuccessful in getting it to do any editing of anything. Similarly, the great shareware GraphicConverter displays full EXIF and IPTC data but doesn't edit it (or I haven't found how). I just mention this because GC is my choice for photo file editing ("post processing"), so having the Information window open to the EXIF pane is pretty useful.
