Expired Kodak film

Wayne, I just shot some 120 Velvia 50 with an expiry date of 2005. It had been stored in unknown conditions (no worse than air-conditioned room temps, I believe) prior to me buying it about 4 years ago and storing in the fridge. There was no color shift, no need for additional exposure. The biggest problem was that there really wasn't too many interesting subjects so the pics were a bit boring. But that wasn't the film's problem.

Low ISO color film is tough... Now, Portra800 for pushing... should be shot several months before its exp. date, and should have been kept cold always...

Cheers,

Juan

I guess if pushing fast film even faster is your interest, then you are correct. Personally, though, I'd use a strobe if I needed > ISO 800 ;)
