shutterflower said:Mine is an old picture of me as a baby. Eating something that looks like chocolate in a room in a house in a neighborhood that hasn't changed in 24 years.
And eating it very enthusiastically indeed.
My avatar shows my "neighbourhood": the "Kop van Noord-Holland", last year, on a glorious few-and-far-between fall day, all blue and gold and endless.
Serenity inspires me. But, then again, so does turbulence.

Changed mine again. Like to keep it fresh.

my current one is simply a digicam capture of what I really shoot with 99% of the time these days - my CL, collapsible 'Cron & my Sekonic when I do need a meter. Nothing very profound, but then that has tended to be my approach to avatars; just a quick snappy of what I'm playing with. It's a Diamonds and Rust kind of thing in the long run, anyway, so why fight it?

This one is from the "Hagar the Wandering Viking" project at nelsonphoto.com. The travelling camera is a 6x9 Ansco Viking folder:

Just thought I'd dare to be different... These things are other parts of my kit for exploring the world. Usually to be found near camera bag, backpack, and backwoods navigation gear for finding relics in the forest and abandoned mines.

This is a macro of the 45mm

I just love the lens, and it seems appropriate given that this is the only real camera I own - and my chosen film camera till the end.

My current Avatar is of a piece of nose art on an airplane at the AirForce Museum in Dayton, OH. Of course it is an aerial photography bird and since that is my profession I picked it as my Avatar.

Mine is a painting I made of Al Franken several years ago. I was gluing all sorts of things onto my canvas at the time, and this was one that worked out.

My current avatar is a fake boiler in the basement of the Hotel of Terror at California Adventure across from Disneyland. As you wind through the maze getting ready to board the ride you end up down in the basement and, among other things is this 2-3 story tall fake boiler. The lighting was interesting and it had these features that made it looks like a menacing face (eyes and a mouth). So, I thought it made an interesting avatar.

I think mine is self-explanatory but in case you don't know, the guy in my avatar is "Mr. Bean", featured in the TV series "Mr. Bean". He's the coolest guy on the planet =).
