explain your avatar

mine is only to cast memories one of the best spots in one of the best cities in the world--the promenade of Ile de la Cité, in very close proximity to Notre Dame.
Any Parisian wanna swap lives with me?

Well, my current one (I'm attaching it here, since I do change these often) is a "self-portrait" in Chicago's "Cloud Gate", which came out not unlike a fun-house mirror.

I don't know why I'm so fascinated by "The Bean", but I am. 🙂

My avatar is a self portrait taken in the dark while wearing frenzel googles. The goggles are internally illuminated by small light bulbs. They are worn during vestibular testing to prevent the patient focusing their eyes and still allow observation of eye movement by the tester. For more detailed information see http://www.tchain.com/otoneurology/practice/frenzels.htm.

My avatar is of my kids, taken only a few weeks after the littlest one was born. She's largely responsible for my rediscovery of photography.

Ossifan is because I seemed to naturally gravitate to former East Germans when I lived in Berlin - Ossi's are Easterners.

Cheers,
Alex

My latest avatar shows a photo of my late garndfather with my late father and three aunts.

Mark, I really like that image. 😀

Mine is, as frank says, a cat. No its not!! It's a jack russell called fid, and he's sleeping across the room from me 😉

I am an intensive care nurse, hence my handle and avatar. My evil nurse avatar is a sort of alter ego. I imagine that nurse has her syringe filled with Ativan and is on her way to inject the patient/patient's family that is making her question why she became a nurse in the first place. Or inject herself so she can deal with them.

Mine is my younger son leaning against my wife.
That look he has shows all I love about my little boys...I know it's fleeting so as my avatar, I get to see a lot of it now while I can.

Mine is me and my Hasselblad in a mirror, playing around with a roll of Ilford Delta 3200 which had been through a number of airport x-ray machines and came out surpisingly unscatheded...

That's me shooting with one of my "real" rangefinders, an AGFA Super Silette with a Color-Solinar 2.8/50. Also got an AGFA Super Silette with a Solagon 2.0/50 and a FED-3 w/ Industar-61 L/D 2.8/53... 😉
