Czeslawa Kwoka, a 14 year old Polish Catholic girl who perished in the concentration camps.

My avatar is very simple: it´s me at the prototype production line room at the small electronics factory I´m currently working in. Think I´d like to change it...

And I did!
This one is Juancho, a nice mixed breed male german shepherd (or something alike) who came home during 2004. He was a nice companion for the time after my divorce. Fortunately, my gf loves him and he adopted her too.

Silly Moi talking with a Gent on the Street about his newly acquired Fish ...:)

I do a slapstick comedy magic act at childrens hospitals and for the Wounded Warriors at various military installations, on a volunteer basis. Thus, the clown nose...

It's pretty funny to read some of these from years ago, now that many avatars have changed since then. Like Frank, who started this thread, explains that his is his dad.

Yes, Frank's dad looks surprisingly like a kindly hound. (I do recall the original avatar). I should probably use a canine stand-in, since I changed my motto to a PG Wodehouse phrase about a pooch named Robert.

After a NYC Meet-Up, right outside Puck Fair, the guys decided to decorate me like a Christmas tree with their cameras for a shot. I think the original idea was from Phil NM.

John, JSrocket took this shot and created my avatar, but he added the comment about being a gear whore. Initially I took offense, but John is my friend, and I have to take ownership that perhaps it is true that I am a bit of a gear whore. LOL.

My son played competitive chess when he was very young and while we were traveling around doing the circuit, our fav movie was Searching for Bobby Fischer. My avatar reminds me of those days.......

I saw a friend using the same font, but in red. To me, its kind of an old school analogue homage, despite the fact that out of necessity its digitised.

And besides, it was a free font, I don't have to show my ugly face and is blatant self promotion.
