As far as Diafine is concerned, you can also run the films -twice- through both baths. I learned this "trick" in 1975 from Modern Photography magazine, when I was exposing Kodak 2475 Recording Film at EI 6400, and actually getting consistently decent results.
Three minutes in "A", three minutes in "B", then four-five minute wash in running water. Then three minutes back in "A" and three minutes in "B". Then normal rinse and fix. Wonder what it would do to XX??
It would be great if we had a tab, where we could list all these "homebrew formulas". You can find a few, by trolling the thread, but there are lots more than will work with XX.
