I got a bit of a pickle here.
If I am using a manual lens. I have auto iso (Auto6400) selected. The shutter speed is set to auto.
It always sets the shutter speed to 1/30 unless its bright enough to select iso 200 then it will choose a higher shutter speed.
So sometime on the dial I set it to 1/125 or the like to avoid camera shake, but then I find that the camera defaults to 0 ev on the exposure compensation no mater what I have the dial set to.
I would have assumed that if for instance the camera wanted to auto iso at 400 and I dialed in -1/3 compensation with the above setup it would just change the auto iso value down -1/3 rather than locking exposure compensation out all together.
Anyone find a way around this weird problem short of setting iso by myself? Auto iso is a pretty useful thing to have.

Can the camera be set to 'aperture perfered auto' and the ISO set to a specific value?
That is the way I use manual lenses on my DSLR but I'm not familiar with Fuji cameras.
After I set those dials then I can use exposure compensition to bias the exposure up or down in 1/3 stop steps.
You might try taking the ISO off of 'auto' and setting it to one value such as 400.

Full manual exposure assumes u want full control and thus ec is disabled. Autoiso is trying to find the right exposure match.
U need to either disable auto iso or not use full manual exposure for this situation.
To me EC works as I would expect.
