Hello again,

I just got my 90mm prewar elmar.. I mounted it to the 111a and discovered that some of the F stop had been worn off probably by A36 filters. Anyway I am use to the old system but there are some on this lens that are not on my 50mm Summar... If anyone has one and can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Or anybody who doesn't have one and can help me that would be great too.

Thank you
Skinny

I recently acquired one too (from 1937). I haven't had a chance to try it out yet though. Keep in touch and let me know how you find your sample to perform.

The stops are: 4, 4.5, 6.3, 9, 12.5, 18, 25, 36

I used to have one... and sold it because the focusing was a bit of a pain. Still, it was a diligent lens and delivered nice images, but it had a cooling effect on color film.

I was puzzled by the apertures, but quickly got used to them. Just be careful; sometimes it's easy to remove the front element of this lens when you focus. No, you won't have broken it, just happens that the front element could be used on a Visoflex system.

Have fun shooting!

I've got one...snappy lens, nice effects. It distinctly benefits by a hood...my 35mm hood works equally well on my Fed/Elmar and ancient 90 Elmar.

I have one too, it's a great lense, mine had some fungus, but I managed to clean it and to oil the F blades.
I think you'll need a viewfinder if you dont already have one.
I find it hard to frame and adjust the parallax correction but the effort is worth the taking.

Post your images, it's always interesting to see pictures from old lenses.
