just had a thought. since epson doesn't do repairs and just sends out a replacement, what do they do with the lemons? do they sell factory reconditioned r-d1s? i'd assume they're discounted a good amount.

It's such an interesting question I decided to do a little research. I visited the USA Epson website. It lists 85 products that are available refurbished - there wasn't any sign of the R-D1. I wonder if the R-D1 replacements are refurbished cameras with new bodies?
