I have seen an S-mount 50mm F3.5 CV Heliar offered for sale. It is listed as being in like new condition. The seller is asking $499.00. Is that a good price?

Hello again,

I received the 50mm F3.5 Heliar from Stephen Gandy of Camera Quest fame. It is a gorgeous lens. I am also impressed by the build quality of the shade and front cap. I need to dust off my Nikon S2 to test this lens.

Is there a consensus as to how many of these lenses were made in Nikon rf mount? Also, does anyone know the range of serial numbers for these lenses in Nikon rf mount? Is there a post to which someone could direct me?

Congratulations. This is a very sharp lens. I have it in ltm mount.
