Fair price range for Summilux 75/1.4

Guys,

1) What is a current fair price range for Summilux 75/1.4 (with build-in hood) in mint - / excellent ++ condition?

2) Any optical differance between Canadian and German version?

US 2400 and up. The German is a few grams lighter, same optics.

I sold one like new in box for Euro 1450,- recently .... on the cheap side but getting a better price was not too easy. Could have sold for Euro 1600,- max .... but outside the EU which did not have my preference!

I just bought mine for $2495. To my eye, the signature of this lens at F/1.4-2 is astonishingly beautiful.

Strange, I offered someone $2850 (via Paypal) but it was rejected as I still had to up the payment with 6%. Anyone wanna sell their mint copy to me? 🙂

EDIT: The lens was 6-bit coded and came with all boxes.

Update: I'm a serious user of lenses, and everything is preferbly new (NIB, NOS), but Mint is fine. The lens has to be:

1) Made in Germany
2) Serial > 375xxxx
3) 6-bit coded (preferably but not necessary, stock coded, so the box will say 6-bit coded)
4) Boxes and everything

6 months ago I bought mine for 2200 off ebay. The guy checked his lens before shpping and it wasn't focusing properly so he refunded me 600$. I shipped the lens to DAG, who fixed it for 125$... Was a great deal 🙂

Make sure whatever you get can focus accurately on say an RD1.

The 75/1.4 German model focus wide open perfect on the RD1s, while I am not sure all the Canadian ones do.

I paid about 2200 for mine a couple months back, it's been coded and adjusted since then and it's just amazing.
