Fall Colors - 35 Biogon/Let's see 'em

Well it is Autumn in the northern hemisphere. Here in Vermont, the trees are . . . well, incredible. The color is insane. The following, just for laughs, are all with the 35 Biogon and the M8 at ISO 160.

And one with the Heliar . . .

For me, Autumn leaves are like sunsets - beautiful to see, difficult to photograph, almost impossible to photograph in a new or different way. Hey, I don't even "see" the world in color most of the time. Oh, I perceive it but I don't seek to represent the world that way photographically. Until recently, this was true. I have started experimenting with panoramic stitching in Photoshop --- biiig landscapes. Big narrow landscapes. Maybe this is why I have given myself "permission" to be impressed, wowed, bowled over by the Vermont change of seasons - at least enough to record something so ephemeral, so beautiful and with such a high probability of producing a boring image.

Here is one from Sweden. Zeiss Opton Biogon 35/2.8 on a Contax IIIa.

Everything in Edmonton froze while it was still green—for about a week. This caused most of the leaves to skip their vibrant state and retire to a depressing grey. Oddly, most are still hanging!

Here is a cold, leafless tree. The droopy leaves on the one in the background help to explain the choice of subject
