ebay 370497434826. I had to laugh at the description of this lens- "the FAMOUS 50mm.F/2 "HUNTER" lens.
At least the camera has Zorki on the top plate, and we were spared the combination of famous Hunter-Zopkuu
Same seller has another camera with an Industar 61, identified as the FAMOUS Hunter 55/2.8

Jupiter means Hunter? That's a new one.

Maybe they misread the cyrillic version of Jupiter as "Hunter". :-D

That is only too funny!
What interests me is how a fairly new (2001), non-export J-8 came to be attached to an ancient Zorki. The lens is sort of grimy, but this ugly Zorki with its "Hunter" might be a a cheap way to get a serviceable J-8.

Jeah, that hunter looks really good on a Zorki 1 actually

The seller also thinks that the Zorki is a Kiev brand, thereby confirming he knows very little about the item he is selling.

The seller may be FSU ignorant, but he is a well-known and reputable eBay camera dealer. Depending on how much traffic this thread drives to the auction, somebody may get a bargain. He also has a clean Zorki C with a grimy I-61 LD (also described as "famous Hunter"). Go figure...

If you squint enough at the cyrillic "JUPITER" it does look vaguely like "hunter", I can see the "logic" but it's not hard to do a bit of research and find the proper name! Quite how the cyrillic "INDUSTAR" makes it to "HUNTER" as well I don't know.
The body looks quite brassed, unless it's the lighting. A Jupiter 8 does work rather well on the Zorki 1, although it blocks the VF a bit. He says the curtains look fine, yet that you can't see the rubber-side without removing the shell. They might "look fine" and leak like sieves. Caveat emptor!
