Farewell to the M9 in color, after getting the M10

These images are too personally post processed to a particular style to be of any use to me in making any type of judgement about the two cameras and their respective comparative outputs.

That's not a criticism just an observation.

Frankly, all I want to see on the internet with regard to colour photos and what a digital camera can do what are OOC jpegs. RAW can be fixed or ignored. I prefer to ignore, 99% of the time.

All I can say is the meter in the M10 is very good.:D

To achieve objectively accurate color rendition manual WB is a must.
Don't blame is on the camera auto WB if you don't like the result:rolleyes:

To supplement what jaapv's comment: when a scene is lit by more than one strong light source with different color temperatures, there is no single, correct white balance parameter.

Raw rendering provides more flexibility to successfully apply different color temperature parameters to regions with different light sources. When practical, two test shots placing a grey card in one region followed by another in with placement a different region is helpful.

Exactly. Your choices become, eliminate (if possible) one of the light sources, light the scene to overpower the ambient light and create a single color temperature, or do selective white balance in post. Fortunately both Lightroom and Capture One have selective white balance tools.
