There's a lot of truth in that and some old Zenits are still going strong and a lot of expensive electronic marvels have failed completely because no one can repair them.
Worse still, some electronic ones have failed and could be repaired but no one will touch them based on bitter experience. A battery can corrode and knock out the entire camera just by destroying the lead from the battery to the electronics, which could be repaired quickly and cheaply. But, as I was told by a technician, no one will pay hundreds just to discover that their camera is beyond repair due to lack of parts. So no one touches them.

Wrong thread it seems. One lens is for digital crop in Sony mount. Another two are for DSLRs.
Zenit cameras, not having been rangefinders, would explain why they didn't go for the M market. Even though their original press release about the camera line said it would be a luxury product (thus appropriately priced), the lenses seem to be priced more for volume sales. Enough even at a point where a bottom feeder like myself would be tempted. Now, which one? PF ps: If this goes well, maybe they'll bring back the Zorki!
They definitely don't look 'Luxury' like what was rumored.

Yeah, I was surprised there wasn't an m mount version.

I think Leica and Zeiss at this point should fold down - what need will there be for their lenses when Zenit is back ??? 😀
