Fastest Zoom?

Just noticed that Olympus XZ-1 was announced at the CES: http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1530

Is this the fastest production lens zoom made? 35mm equiv f1.8-2.5.

Seems quite impressive and quite an achievement.
Although it is still yet to be released in the wild I'm also curious why this isn't getting as much attention as the Fuji X100.

Is it because it is a zoom?
Or it doesn't have an Optical View Finder?
What do you folks think?

f/1.4 starting values are not uncommon among TV/ENG zooms.

It's worth pointing out that Olympus has been making really good zooms for years, while Nikon and Canon zooms max out at 2.8, the Olympus equivalents are 2.0. There was also a Canon zoom for Super8 that was F1.0, made for 8 years.

Angenieux makes some amazing zooms, there are a few T1.8's IIRC, they're for TV/ENG though, I only ever play with the slower cine zooms that are usually T3

Edit: just clicked the Olympus link, looks good to me, considering the LX3 is dated and still somewhat pricey, and has a limited zoom range (and slightly slower lens). If only I get get re-acclimated to shooting with an lcd
