If someone has a 40mm Summicron-C lens and a set of calipers, I'd really appreciate a measurement. In disassembling for cleaning, I forget to measure the lens position at infinity. There are a number of threads for it to start at, and I think that I am off. I've tried using another camera as a collimator but things are just too small for confidence.
Here's a photo, showing the measurement I would like:
So, lens at inifntiy, measure the distance from the front of the aperture number ring to the front of the foot/meter scale ring.
Thanks much! Inches or millemeters are fine.
FYI, at the moment I get 0.142 inches.

f/11 .1530

On mine it is 0.1405

Thanks all. From what I can tell using another camera as an infinity source and from your numbers, I am not going past infinity. I'll let field use settle it up for me (meaning I'll just see what the negatives look like for now).
