Where would you go? Why?

Me... Cabo Sao Vincente, on the extreme south western tip of Europe.

For hundreds of years this was 'The Edge of the World'. And it still feels that way.

looks great.
I would love to go to Iceland, from all the things i have heard and read about it.
And South India is planned too; and this one has a real chance since a close friend of mine is from there and he's planning to get married within half a year-one year 🙂

Hugh Heffner's Grotto. Yup, no. 1 choice. Just kidding, probably Thailand for the huge amount of temples.

Could be worse, I could've said Graceland. Thank you very much, thank you.

Been to Graceland, glad I went, no desire to go back again. The "estate" is much smaller than I thought. And too much $ met too little taste. I am a fan of the man's music but not his(or his mom's) decorating ideas.
I'd like to get to the northern end of Hudson's Bay. Or anywhere that Ashley Judd is hanging out.

NYC, Big Sur California (from San Fran down to Santa Barbara), SF, Italy (everywhere). Hawaii. That's for the places I've been, and you can do RF photography with.

My wish list changes quite a bit if it's my DReb + long lens. Then it's almost all national parks or nature areas.

I guess this is two questions. Current favorite place is the East Broad Top railroad in Rockhill Furnace PA. It is a neat industrial site with old buildings and the only remaining narrow gauge railroad east of the Mississippi.

Current fantasy is to vist Mexico and Central America and photograph the Mayan and Inca sits. Tikal would be cool...

So is that the reason people go to Thailand nowadays?

Personally, I think the best photos can be made where you are at any given moment (and using the equipment you have at any given moment). But given the choice, I'd like to be sitting in a Trans-Siberian Railway car right now. 😀

The highlands of Scotland and the European battlefields of WWII

Try the "real" highlands of Scotland, North and West of Inverness. The usual tourist trail stops at Inverness and Loch Ness, full of tacky souvenir shops and tourists. Try Torridon, Ullapool, Lochinver area, amazing scenery. Go before the end of June to avoid the dreaded "midgies" microscopic biting flies which will drive you nuts, and get inside everywhere, even the camera when you change lenses!!!! Avoid Isle of Skye on a Sunday, you will be lucky to find anything including toilets open! 🙄

Brian: I have been sending you PM's since yesterday about the lens. Please respond. Thanks. Maybe you see my message here.

Scotland.... definitely Islay. More for Scotch than photo though. I've got to claim my rent (one dram off a keg for my 1 sq.ft. of peat) at Laphroaig and pay a visit to the fine folks at Lagavulin and Ardbeg too. Note that I'm swimming my way to the bottom of a late bottled vintage porto as I'm writing this. My Lagavulin bottle is giving me dirty looks. Really! LOL

Besides that and for photography... any dark hole where things I enjoy happen.

I almost forgot... I'd really like to attend the Burning Man festival at least once.
