Not the finest grain, but image is superb. Makes Tri x look sick
Before that TM400
D76 with both.

A while ago b&h had a sale on the 50 roll pro pack of HP5, so until that runs out it’s my favorite film...
Developed in at a lab, I believe they use XTOL and scanned at home on my Noritsu.

TMAX 400 is $5 at BH, Tri X is a dollar more ::shrug::
I have stopped shooting all Kodak films because of their pricing.

I love tri x but it curls so much it's a pain to scan. For that reason I switched back to hp5 and will likely use it as my main stock for 400. I had a curl issue with Pancro as well. Not my favorite film but fun to try.

I voted for unlisted, so I list it here - Ilford Pan 400. I am still waiting for Bergger to try, so maybe my taste will change
But as of now, this one - not listed because it is probably not available worldwide.

For me definitely Tri-X in D76 stock
The old formula Tri-X, with lots of Silver, was a great film. I used countless rolls of it in both 135 & 120. Exposed (135 usually) at ASA/ISO 300, D76 1:1, 8 1/2 min at 68°F.
I don't care for the new stuff. I have a few rolls around for my old XA but, use HP 5 now. A different look but, i like the way it looks scanned. HP 5 also in D76 1:1..
