New York February Meet-Up: Third Annual Rangefinder Beauty Pagent

Hmm... can I join in? I happen to be in NYC at the moment, and have RFs with me... though nothing "pageant" worthy. Don't know what's on my itinerary Sunday yet though...

I think in one of the earlier posts someone mentioned multiple entries being ok. The concept of rules is kind of 'soft' here, so you'll probably get away with more if you don't ask about it first.

Sorry to be so absent of late. Just returned from a long-ish trip a few days back.

I won't make it this Sunday, but I will look forward to the results of the beauty pageant. ;)

Rules are purposely vague and general. Multiple entries are encouraged. Overall it tends to be a free for all anyways. Kinda bare knuckles approach.

Almost any rule can be broken with the appropriate bribes (beer).

Oh yeah, its basically the rule of the mob. Judges are there to somewhat moderate. As John Chee will attest, anything can happen.

Location and time of this fete? Is there a swimsuit competition? Can my Barnack perform "Lady of Spain" on the SCNOO?
 
Someone mentioned swimsuit contest...? I actually will not be swimming this sunday in the Atlantic, otherwise I'd enter. Anyhow, I might get a chance to drop by finally, but am totally confused about the pagent: does it have to be a Leica? A Rangefinder? a clean and pretty camera?....what? :)

p.s. i miss seeing you guys..it's been too long!

I would not choose to own a Hello Kitty M6. But the fact that there is such a camera proves to me this is the best of all possible worlds!
 
I have been asked to do a fashion shoot. Although it starts early, it will probably finish after the revelers have gone home. Oh no! My Welta Weltur will not receive the acclaim it so richly deserves. And I will miss seeing everyone too!

Yes, come and bring whatever you want. Any rangefinder will do... but you don't have to enter the "pagent" either.
 
I'm in D.C. with the Mrs. visiting our son and actually using a couple of cameras to make images. Imagine that. Everyone, enjoy! Beauty pagent entrants: Good Luck!
 
I'm really tied up with a project here. I'll try to escape later this afternoon, but I may end up missing this one.
