Three non-pro models are included in the "All Woman's Project II" and the woman on the far left is a surfer, the one on the far right a body builder, and the one in the center is Maggie who technically is not a pro model until the official announcement that she has representation later this week (tomorrow???).
Maggie wonders why in the text the writer labeled her as a "senior" fashion blogger instead of just a fashion blogger, especially in the contex of inclusion and diversity, which is what the All Woman's Project is about.
I do not know if this feature will be in print. I think February first is when the print magazine is available. Last year The All Woman's Project was first published in Vogue, and this is the second year anniversity.

So yesterday Maggie got solicited to be a runway model for NYC Fashion Week by a new designer. The Venue is downtown in the Skylight in Clarkson Square in the Meat Packing District. While the Monahan Postal Center by B&H was set up as the "big tent" last season, this season the big tent for all the big shows will be at the Skylight.
So now to do this show it must pass through Maggie's agent for approval. I likely will get into the big tent to shoot Maggie, but know that I really could use an AF lens for my SL. Perhaps I'll have to rent one.

Just another crazy day. Last night had to post process and JPEG some shots for "High Res" to give to Maggie's agent.
It seems the photo they liked they don't want to recycle because it was published before. Anyways it is hard to be a lazy slacker these days.
If Leica is reading this thread please note that I need my AF 50 Lux-SL pronto. I'm already pre-paid and I'm number 5 on a dealer's waiting list, meanwhile I'm struggling with manual focus lenses on my SL. NYC Fashion week is happening soon. Hurry up with my lens.

Some of the B&W shots were published in Grey Magazine. My friend Mike took a few of the shots in Lyn's book, and Lane another fashion photographer I only met last week.
Anyways more crazy stuff tomorrow I suspect. I forgot that she has a shoot and taping in that high end luxury retail store tomorrow.

So yesterday my gal comes home after a manicure and pedicure for tomorrow's (today's) meeting with a cosmetic company for breakfast, and later in the day a retail meeting with the luxury store's stylist, to find me asleep on the couch with an electric guitar strapped to my chest.
So I get awakened and have to go into Mick-Guy-Ver mode to handle another last minute emergency that has to be performed pronto. I move all the furniture in the living room to create a photo studio turn on all the lights, and recruit a desk lamp to use as a key light.
Basically I have to shoot "Polaroids" which is an arc-K-ick term for quick shots with only lip stick for make-up and casual attire for three shots: a frontal head to toe; a side profile head to toe; and a belt and up tighter shot.
Anyways even though Maggie was only released by her agency yesterday there is a call for next Thursday-Friday that requires limos planes and travel to another city, and these shots are required to get the gig. It seems art directors want and need validation that the shots in a model's "Book" are not the result of extensive make-up or use of Photoshop, and the use of "Polaroids" is require to see the "starting material."
So now that we have crossed the line the fee is about the same after the 20% commission, but add a zero to the number. The money is crazy. So sometime today we will find out if Maggie got the gig. In the past she would of found out the day before her flight next week. As it is she will teach a class at her graduate school and get limo'ed to the airport right after the class.
Anyways "Calvin The Lazy Slacker" is a superhero in disguise. LOL.

So I'm busy working on a print from the Woman's March. Perhaps tonight I will master this image that I will give away at the Camera Circus.
I really love Piezography Pro. In a way it is less labor intensive, but in another way the additional level of control promotes playing around. In the end there is vast separation of space in the prints that almost becomes holographic because depth is displayed via development of detail and tonality. Each iteration of printing simply brings out more depth.
Anyways it is pretty easy to make a few prints each night, and viewing the dried prints first thing every morning is a great and satifying way to begin a day.
Interesting to note is how a bald man, a cop, and upsidedown American flag and a cloud of steam almost look like when in wet printing certain areas are teased out and highlighted. Anyways I am pleased how this image evolved, and I am rather surprise how this color image transfered to a great B&W image.

Yesterday my dealer e-mailed me that there was one cancelation so now I am number 4 on his list.
I kinda pulled a rabbit out of a hat and contacted my friend John yesterday who is the Technical Specialist for the SL and "S" cameras about getting a 24mm-90mm SL AF lens for NYC Fashion Week, and today I found out that I will be lent the lens to cover the ground swell that is happening this month for Maggie and I.
Anyways what great support. I will be eternally grateful for this timely miracle, all the "Good Will," and all the important support I am getting.
Anyways life is rather surreal lately. Yesterday's meet-up with the luxury retailer's stylist went well. Maggie happen to be in the store at the same time as Kim K. was the buzz from the sales people. Meanwhile Maggie is wearing $10K worth of clothes in one outfit, and the real modeling work happens this Sunday while I'm at the Meet-Up in a studio shoot in Greenpoint.
There was no for the gig for next week. It was explained that arrangements had been already made, and that the client was considering replacing their model at the last minute. Anyways like in Project Runway: "One minute you are in: the next you are out."
Anyways I solved the problem/restriction for having to shoot manual focus lenses during crunch time. Seems almost like "Divine Intervention."

Was thinking the same a while ago while writing a post. Did a quick ethymology excercise on my mind and maybe:

Nice! Having couple of names handy without going into "impersonation" 😀 I used to have a middle school classmate named Cristina and she was cool with Cris... No way calling her Tina, "Tina is a grandma's name" she said.
Project Runaway lifestyle is something crazy. At moments the uncertainty is fun to ride, but for example I've been awaiting some job assignation and sometimes it does wreck trying to plan anything. Could have done my SE Asia trip a couple of times already, were it not for "tomorrow maybe something happens". I wouldn't complain if there was a cashflow in my case, which is nicely absent!
Best with the shooting of the event! So... besides Kim K. I would feel quite strange really, ha!

This is a good question. Way back I use to make fun of Lyn because of her obsessive behavior. I kinda invented a persona where she was the undocumented older sister of Martha Stewart: Maggie Stewart.
After a while the name got stuck to the point when I called her Lyn once she remarked how odd it was to be called her real name by me, and she told me not to call her by her real name because she found it disturbing. LOL. Anyways I have this personality flaw: I annoy people. LOL.
So initially for privacy, before Lyn became the Accidental Icon, I used the name Maggie here on this forum. But that garnered confusion, so I kinda played it up as me kinda inventing like I had two girl friends. Anyways this even confused people more. LOL.
But now kinda everyone figured out Maggie, Lyn, and the Accidental Icon are the same person and that I don't have three girl friends.
Anyways when you love a woman, you do strange things. LOL.

So the dried print I inspected this morning. Oh what a prize.
I kinda whitened this steam cloud from a manhole cover chimeney that creates a wonderful highlight that draws in the eye, and this cloud of steam is framed under the upside down American flag. Underneath is the bald man who becomes important to this image, and when you look at his profile it draws your eye to the cop.
What I love the most of this print is that one makes out that it is some kinda protest, but one does not know it is the Woman's March, and because of this there is a timeless quality that is very alluring that draws in the viewer to wonder what this gathering and all the tension is all about. I love the sense of timelessness.
