Seems like we are going from success to success in NYC. Last month's meetup was INSANE, just check out the thread for some images if you don't believe me. Let's meet up at Lorely again (7 Rivington Street in Manhattan) on Saturday, Feb 20th at 1pm.

There were so many of us last time we nearly took the place over so I would actually suggest we come in shifts. Let's say we will be there until Five so there is plenty of time to come and share work and drink and eat (it is a bar/restaurant so be prepared to at least order a few drinks). Bring your images and your camera so we can all ooh and aaah over it. Once again door prizes will be give out so be there or be square!

Some people mentioned getting together for a shoot before hand so feel free to hook something up through this thread or start another one that you link to here. I look forward to seeing you all then!

Well, I'm for this one (again!). Almost too much fun last time.

(Note to Helen: I'll be there pretty much on-time this time. Honest.) :)

I'm sorry that I'll only be able to do a quick fly-by on all Saturdays except during spring break, because I'm take a sewing class at FIT. I have to get to class early to claim and rig a machine.

I will stop off a little earlier than 1:00, so I can drop off some door prizes. I'm thinking that I will recycle my issues of Black & White magazine. I also have a single reel SS tank (1X35mm) that is just missing the cap, and I have no use for developing a single roll. For you gearheads and collectors, I believe this tank is marked Nikon, but I don't know if its the same company as my SLR's. I develope 4 rolls at a time in 35mm and have no use for it. I'll hand off these items to someone to give to Damaso to give away. For you guys that haven't read through the other threads: I downsizing to a one bedroom from a two bedroom.

Damaso, do you think 1:00 is early enough? Even earlier might be better!!! Perhaps 12:00.

Barrett, is it possible we could hook-up so I can get my slides?

I wonder if the same girls are regulars? If so, there could be a further escalation of being stalked by the same women.

Planning on part III.

Planning on part III.

I'll be there. Which reminds me, I better get some new prints made to show around.

I think it's early enough for me :D but I will show up a little earlier to take those door prizes off your hands!

Thanks. Got to keep the good mojo happening. I have to dig through some more stuff.

I'll also bring that 100 feet of Pan F (unopened box from 2007 maintained in cold storage) and that antique bulk loader. Let me know if anyone can figure out how to open the bulk loader. Its pretty old, and I think its made of Bakelite. These two items are future door prizes for the April or May meet-up at MOMA for the HCB show. I want these items to go to the RFF member who traveled the greatest distance to attend. In another thread there was a guy from California trying to make it. Anyone from Europe?

Cool... can't wait to finally make it. I'm scheduling around it this time. :)

Do many people bring prints or is it mostly cameras and beer?

This going to be a monthly thing? Will be there mid may so I'll keep my eye out for this thread...

It will be if people keep showing up! Hey people post some images from last month's meet up just to show what a crazy time it was...

Like I said, I'll be early this time.

Calzone: If you're there early, I'll be there, with your slides. :)

And, in case anyone who wasn't there last time is the slightest bit curious, here a few snaps (yes, finally got 'round to scanning 'em) from last month (apologies for the slight red cast):

Barrett: thanks for safeguarding my slides from the January Meet-up. You were very effective in capturing the decisive moments, especially when a very drunk girl had my Leica. Everyone at the table yelled for the girl to put on the strap. I'm really sorry I can't stick around and hang out, because the Meet-Up will surely be another good time.

For all you Nikon SLR Queens: I will also be giving to Damaso a Nikon book that features the F2 and another camera, as well as the other door prises mentioned above. In the last event Jeff, another Nikon Whore like me got two free Nikon books: The Nikon System; and a Moose Peterson book. Jeff BTW is the tall guy with the black sweatshirt with the yellow Leica logo on it. Also some dated retro Leica promo magazines were given away. They were collectable conversation pieces. I think Barrett got one.

These door prizes were all given in the spirit of openess that is an extension of this forum. We have to thank our organizer Damaso for a great time.
