New York February NYC Meetup

send your M9 anyway. I'm sure someone in the group will take good care of it.

Perhaps I should swing by the night before and leave it with the hostess. Rob, be sure to ask for it and don't let her pretend she doesn't know what you're talking about in case she tries to swipe it.

I would guess that it will likely be bigger, but spread out over more time. In each Meet-Up there were busy people who either came late or had to leave early. It became hard to even figure out or count how many people showed up. This is very New York.

In the last Meet-Up, Hellen Hill came by, but I didn't get the chance to meet her. LOL

Expect a great time, surprises, and a gearfeast. Also expect to be inspired, but beware of GAS.

I can almost taste the beer... and the GAS!

And don't forget Damaso will be handing out some door prizes.

At the last Meet-Up Scott wanted to unload some film, because he has a M9.

Cal loaded up the truck, even though he's downsizing. LOL

Left to right, Carl, Jeff (not John, who was off camera) and Barrett or, if you are more interested in gear than people, a Voigtlander t-shirt, a gorgeous black and brassy M2 with Leicavit, a chrome M2, an M3 with CV meter 2 and a DR 'cron, and a pair of Hexars.

A good time was had by all. A little more backlight than I was prepared to handle distracted as I was by new friends and good conversation, fine food and drink and some cool gear.

That's right Rob, my beer is in the pic though... Carl took a very unflattering shot of me that was kind of goofy. I'm waiting for that to appear here...

I had a ton o' subway trouble (as in: nothing running in my nabe all weekend, which might have kept at least a few others away that day), and got there late, but still had a lot of fun. (Cal, sorry we missed each other, but the slides are still in-hand. Next time 'round?)

damaso must be traveling. would one of the rest of us intrepid attendees (John, Jeff, Carl, Barrett, Scott, Amy, Eric, Helen... and others who hands I haven't shaken) like to assume the mantle of party planner in his stead for April?

I would, Rob, but April's going to be a tough as my Saturdays are booked. We could, however, go ahead and set a date for something in May. Damaso will be back next week, I think. Thoughts?
