Hi!
First post here to ask if any member has had experience of seeing a strap lug that isn't aligned vertically.
I bought a Fed 2 from Ukraine this week and it is on its way to the UK. Having a closer look at the seller photos I noticed one of the straps isn't aligned. See the attachment file.
My question is if the lug is tight, is it better to leave as it is or is it possible to turn it to correct position without damaging anything?
Many thanks!

Better leave it! straplugs of Zorki's and Fed's are not very strong! If it gets loose, you won't get it fixed anymore.

Thanks Ron!
I was reading about how those lugs are attached and it is better to leave alone.
It happened to me to have had a Nikkormat with a loose lug and that one is screw in place with a nut behind. I just had to tight it up.
I'll check if that Fed lug is loose when the camera arrives.

The camera arrived and it is in good condition. The straps are held firmly in place.

There is an outfit that fits strap lugs to FSU lugless cameras like the Zorki 4. I would imagine that they could also fit replacements for those who needed them. I've never done business with this outfit and don't know if they're still around, but here's the link...http://ufies.org/~djb/

Thanks Tony! That's nice if I ever buy a camera without strap lugs.
Still that outfit is on the other side of the Pond for me!

On my FED2 I made it even more loose. I put a metal ring through it and now I insert my middle finger into the ring and thus have a very nice and comfortable ''finger strap''.

On my Fed 2 the led-takavaloista strap lug came right off whe I used it. Apparently they get very weak over time.
I took some locktite glue to place it back and it's held so far.
