Hello all
After a long holiday from FSU cameras and prompted mainly by the purchase of a Sony alpha 5000 and a Lumix G1 I have started examining all my cameras with a view to possibly returning some to full usability, after all film may be dying but is not quite dead, I found a very nice looking Fed 3 in my stock, serial 8445570, which I suppose means that it was made in 1984, which is quite a long time ago but seems a bit late to me for a Fed 3. Anyway, the shutter cocks all right but t doesn't fire immediately or at least not always. Also it looks to me as though the curtains sometimes end up with the join inside the frame. I presume this means that I either need to sell it for parts or bite the bullet and take it apart to see if I can fix it. I gather the works are quite Zorki like and I have the Maizenberg book in Russian and a downloaded translation but I think ending up with a kit of parts is quite a likely scenario. Suggestions?
