Fed 3A/Fed2D body covers

I have emailed this seller to see if his Fed 2d kits will fit a Fed 3A:

He apparently does not have a 3A to measure.
Have any of the forum members used the 2d kit on a 3a?
My understanding is that the lower body casting is the same for both models.
