I have quite a nice FED2 with no problems other than that the dioptric adjustment lever appears to be spring loaded and keeps turning clockwise as viewed from the top. It goes past the 10 o'clock position ( where I want it to be for my short sight) under the force of the spring.

Does any kind soul know how to fix this problem please?

Hi,
Thanks all for the suggestions. Obviously I've tried tape and a wedge; they're OK for a while but the lever still tends to creep clockwise. My non functioning ( shot curtains) FED's lever stays where it's placed, I was rather hoping for an engineering suggestion, something along the lines of ' remove top cover, tighten screw xxx, push up washer yyy etc'.

If you had wanted to adjust some crappy old $20 lens, or perform an unneccessary annual CLA on another relic!......there would have been enough 'engineering suggestions' to waste your spare time - for the next two years!! :D
