Hi Daniel, I must say that I think the Fed is touch noisy! but not too bad not as quiet as the Kiev4A I have, but that needs a CLA job doing on it.. I'll try and post another 3 pics.

Hey! Welcome aboard! :)

I like pictures from the second set best, namely #2 and #3. The gnome/bobby and the turtle both are very sympathetic!

I have a FED 2 with a bad RF so I just use it as scale focus. It's not worth the fixing as it does just fine as is. It has the industar 61 l/d.
I use an industar collapsible on my FED 1 and really enjoy the compactness and the fact that I cant just point & shoot. I did not try the collapsible on the FED 2 since it seems perfectly mated to the 1.
Nice shooting

and apart for being loud - how do you like your new fed2 robbie ? i really love mine. it has very nice size - not too big and not too small and beautiful lines. btw i recently bought his kmz brother zorki 6 and it is beautiful camera too but i dont see many z6 users here on rff - it seems that fed2 is much more popular.

I love my Fed 2 but am in quandry what lens to keep on it , I have Industars 22, 50, 26, 61 & 61LD plus Jupiter 8 from 1954! too much choice I'm afraid.

Hi Robbie,
Nice pics I like the first set, and the fence picture in the 2nd set.
Evertime I am amazed about that "ancient look" the Industars deliver.
So is there a chance that you will alsom post the results of the other lenses?
I remember when we tried to imitate that in school, we made pics ou of focus and of course did not achieve what we wnated

The 50/3.5 is one of the sharpest FSU lenses around. I have the rigid version, which is identical to the collapsible optically.

Those collapsibles

Intersting because that's one I do not have I have about 4 colapsible Industars made for Zorkis that came with Zorkis and one collapsible ón my Fed 1 that I never tried on other cameras. Strange that they all produce different results.
I am still on the hunt for other collapsible lenses like the summar or the canon.

I have a couple of Z6s, but only rigid I-50s I really need a collapsing version. Gotta get the Z4 and the Kiev 4A back on their feet first. I think the collasping I-50 would make the Z6 a great camera.

Hi Raid, lovely portrait, Ive just developed a B&W Film, AGFAAPX400, in some crappy Jessops Devoper similar to Acutol, its hanging up drying as I speak, first 24 Indi 50 next five Indi 61LD then last ones Indi 61, although the Indi 61LD front element has more bubbles than a milk shake when viewed through a Watchmakers lupe, so Im not too hopeful, perhaps I can pass it off as artistically challenged!! Will scan them tomorrow and put some up for you to look at.

Thanks, Robbie.
I am looking forwrad to seeing your shots.
The I-61LD and the non-LD should also be sharp, but if you have a "milkshake version", then I will let myself be surprised.

Ive used both the Industar 22 and the Industar 61 (panda) on the Fed 2. The 22 looks good on the older Fed 2 and the collapsibility makes the camera very pocketable. But the 61 has become my favorite, it has a very nice contrast for color film and the texture is great.

Did you use a light meter and a hood to take the shots posted?

Hi Valkir, I used sunny 16 and guesstimate exposure , I dont think the collapsibles suffer too much from flare unless pointed straight at it, but I have made a hood from a plastic coffee jar lid and matted out inside which should help and doesnt cost anything!
