Hey, All

Just got Ted's Bessa L and wanted to know if there's a simple way to file off the shutter lock on the film advance. If there's a how-to page w pics somewhere on the net that'd be great. Also, is there a trick to seeing the framelines on the vf of the 25mm, I can sure use some help. The top line keeps disappearing, especially outdoors against bright objects like the sky. Thanks in advance,

GBB

Hi GBB,

I used to have a Bessa L and I find the shutter lock feature very useful in preventing unwanted exposures and also prevent draining the batteries if the shutter is depressed in a camera bag. Do consider filing it away. 🙂

Peter

For ease of use, and uniformity w the Bessa R. It's an extra step I don't need, and don't mind the lack of a lock.

BTW, Is it normal for there to be some play in the CV 25 lens, when you move it from the hood?
