.......sometimes i thinks
Hi all,
I am ready to take the plunge!!!!
Will be going to Melbourne next week to get some darkroom supplies and also an Epson V700.
After much looking, consideration and deliberation, i have decided to start with TriX and D76 (considered XTOL, HC110 and Rodinal).
I started B & W film photography earlier this year because i was really drawn to the old 'press' look. So i figured that D76 will serve me really well with that regards (although XTOL is the newer and better D76).
If you guys have any advice, do chip in !!!
i am really eager to post the results here for C & C once i get everything set up =D
*Those from Oz/Melbourne, i am plannng to get most of the stuff from Vanbar. Anywhere else i should consider?

Be prepared to have a wide grin on your face upon your first self-developed roll.
Also, try and keep it simple... water for pre-soak, developer, water for stopper, fixer, and water for washing. Nothing fancy. Once you have got this down-pat, you can look into other exotic additives (such as stopper, wash-aid, foto flow, etc).
Also, I love your web site... very nice photos of Victoria & Tasmania.

Definitely. I am sure it is gonna be a long road with failures and learning opportunity ahead. I am excited and happy to be able to develop my own soon... many thanks to this forum!!

Truth is beauty
It's easy to do... And funny!
Give Rodinal a chance: grain is beautiful when film is well exposed and developed...
Enjoy,
Juan
