it's here and soon will be plugged in and ready to hold my 12 rolls of film. lol!

i just got a small fridge, like a mini fridge, a bar fridge, whatever.
the price was right, it's near new and i thought 'what the heck'?

so now i have all my camera gear stashed in aluminum cases, my empty camera bags waiting to be filled per my whim of the day and my film in the fridge right next to it all.
all in a row.
no more wandering about the shack wondering where that last roll of hp5 is hiding.

now, i'll have to start stocking it with lots of film.

on a sadder note, no new lenses or toys arrived in the mail today. 🙁

I have one of these. Price was right too. Free
Put EVERYTHING in ziplocks in those things. They are not (depending on your model), very good and mine seems to leak h20 sometimes. But not very much. One time, the ice melted a little bit and h20 got all my 120 film wet. Good thing they were in boxes and in the foil. They were still good.

so let's see that makes a beer fridge, a film fridge and the garage for gorceries? 😀

What type of aluminum cases do you have?
Okay okay, beer, I don't have any. I do have some wine in it too 🙂
Cases? 1650 Pelican for my medium format. Halliburton 103 for my SLRs

chris, i have beat up no name cases. i bought good foam and cut it myself then lined it with a soft cotton fabric. the bigger one holds 3 bodies all with 35mm lenses attached, and then the rest of my lenses. i'll need to store a couple of lenses in an old padded case as soon as the 35/3.5 and 135 show up. if i can find another small aluminum case i'll use it for the 85/100/135 lenses - a tele case.

anyone have a small aluminum case you want to sell?

Store my film in my wine chiller. Friends think I'm weird. A little garage fridge for film/beer is a good idea...might have to look into that. If I had beer and food; I could just stay in the garage all day-no need to come inside the house. Well, except for a bathroom. Might have to look into that as well😉

See? It gets worse... FAS (Film Acquisition Syndrome) will plague you and cause you to cruise eBay and spend more money, and after all that you will find that the fridge to too small to fit your film. Sad...

what's sad is that i had started to think that already...

I got a second full-sized refrigerator, and I have the side freezer 100% for film. My wife wants the freezer back though since the other freezer is soemtimes full. Maybe I need a dorm fridge.

Yeah, I got the freezer+fridge thing going on, too. It's a mini/dorm fridge for film I'm using soon, and the freezer is for longer-term storage. When I run out of TXT in the fridge, I grab a 100' roll out of the freezer, load some cartridges and put those in the fridge. It's the circle of life.

Joe, go to (sorry about this word) Wallymart. They sell aluminum cases, like pelicans sort of; for ~ $30-40 as a set of 2 one large one medium

There's no more space for film in our fridge.

Then yesterday I heard I have won a photography competition and can I go next Saturday to collect the prize. A box of film!

I think it's 50 rolls of Reala.

It's 7AM here and i'm just about to take a camaera to the market to use up some of the previous batch of Reala.

Jon: if you want to unload some of the Reala film, maybe you could inform us here. :bang: :bang: :bang:
