Hi, I wanted to know if anyone knows or could figure out the lengths of Ilford HP5+ 36 exp or 24 exp. Also, possibly Kentmere 400. "Why can't you do it yourself?" Well, I don't really have either HP5 or Kentmere right now.
Of course, don't sacrifice one of your fresh rolls for me. Only asking if you have a test roll or ruined roll, or maybe some film that's drying right now.
Thanks for any help!

36 exposures is 36 exposures, regardless of what film it is made on. The only difference is the camera. If you shoot with a mechanical camera, there can and usually will, be a bit of variation between other mechanical cameras. Anyway, the standard space between frames is about 2mm, the frame is 36mm wide. It could be more depending upon if your camera has a data back and is imprinting between frames or if you're using a precise autoloading camera that may jam the frames closer together. Anyway, add about 4-5 frames for the leader and there you go, you have your length. I don't think there is much difference between brands as they want to be as efficient as possible so they aren't putting an extra 5 frames' worth, for example.

Each 35mm (24mmx36mm) frame is 8 perforations. No more, no less, regardless of the camera. It is set so that slides for projection can be cut and mounted by a machine (Incidentally this is the reason why the Nikon One changed from 24mm x 32mm (One) to 24mm x 34mm (M) to 24mm x 36mm (S)- so that Kodak could process and mount the slides).

Add on a leader (~12cm) and a bit to attach to the cassette (~8cm) and you have the length of the film.
