I've got GAS for a budget film scanner, requirements is that they're wired through USB, under $120, and they don't have to be prosumer or anything fancy. It can be a flatbed with 35mm and slide adapters.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you can find one, the older HP PhotoSmart Scanner is pretty darn good. Dynamic range is a bit limited, and it could be quicker. But quality was always very good. I regret selling mine. I think it maxed out at 2400 dpi, which again was not too bad.

Downside: 35mm only.

Abot the only one I know of in that price range is the Pacific Image 1800 dpi scanner. It did the job if you didn't need big enlargements but was somewhat tempermental.

The CanoScan 8400 is supposed to be very good and sells for about $135.00 new.
Good luck.
