I've just started my first roll of Kodak BW400CN. I have read here recently that it's best to overexpose this film a bit from the box rating, so I have my camera set to ASA 250. Anyone have any specific recommendations or thoughts regarding film speed setting for this film? My use is primarily in my Olympus 35RC, which is sort of my "everyday carry" camera used in the "visual sketchbook" fashion.

Also, do I need to use a colored filter to get decent contrast with this film outdoors? I typically use a yellow filter when shooting regular B&W film outdoors.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I was pretty happy shooting this film at 320 ISO, I'm sure 250 would be fine too. I didn't use a filter, and found it to be just fine. I was mostly shooting at night though, maybe in bright sunlight you'd want a filter though.
